TRAINED PROFESSIONALLY TO TEACH PROFESSIONALLY
CINDY B. MUNDSCHENK holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Dance Pedagogy (teaching dance) from the University of Oklahoma. She has over 40 years teaching experience and founded Dance, Ltd. in 1981. While at the University of Oklahoma, she studied Classical Ballet & Modern Dance, Choreography, Kinesologoy (the study of the human body in motion), Dance History, and Teaching Methods. She was also a Senior member of Performing Company. Cindy studied Classical Ballet with Miguel Terekahov and Yvonne Chouteau, principal dancers with the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo and Modern Dance with Ko Yukihiro, a former Martha Graham instructor. At OU Cindy danced along side, Jo Rowen, who heads the Musical Theatre Dance Department at Oklahoma City University and, Mary Margaret Holt, who now Directs the School of Dance at the University of Oklahoma as well as serving as Artistic Director for Oklahoma Festival Ballet.
Cindy continues her education by attending numerous workshops throughout the year to stay abreast of innovative new styles of dance and improvements in teaching methods. She began dancing at age 2 and never stopped. Cindy Mundschenk is also an Adjunct University Professor since 1988 in both Physical Education and Theatre Departments. Her skills as a choreographer are in great demand by university and community theaters alike.

AWARDS AND HONORS Having won over 60 awards in only three years, Dance, Ltd. took "Best Overall" honors at Showstoppers National Dance Championship Finals. The winning dancers were invited to perform in the Hula Bowl in Hawaii as a result of that competition. In 2005 thirteen routines were taken to Showstopper Competition in Lubbock, Texas and 21 trophies and awards were brought home with several of the routines winning best overall awards. Ms Mundschenk has also been the recipient of several choreography awards.

"Woman of the Year" by the American Business Woman's Association. in 1997 Dance, Ltd. celebrated 25 years of quality dance instruction by taking a group of students and parents to visit the birthplace of Ballet in Paris, France.
Children's Chorus Director for the Moscow Ballet's "The Great Russian Nutcracker". World Premier in 1999, and again in 2000 and 2009.
Dance, Ltd. students have performed two different times with the Abilene Philharmonic Orchestra.

Co-Chairman and Choreographer for the Taylor County Jr. Miss Scholarship Program winning "Best Local Program" and "Best Local Chairman" in the State of Texas. In 2005 Taylor County Jr. Miss was awarded "Best Local Production". That same year America's Jr. Miss voted Ms. Mundschenk and Ms. Rickets National Finalists for "Best Local Chairman" selected out of over 300 programs nationwide.
In 2011 Dance, Ltd has received an invitation from the American Association of Performing Arts Educators to perform in London, England during the 2012 Olympics.
